Foundation Supporters Enjoy It was an evening of dinner, magic and music as the Tuality Healthcare Foundation presented a “Night at the Venetian,” Feb. 21, 2009, at the Venetian Theatre & Bistro in downtown Hillsboro.
Prior to the evening’s entertainment, the 198 guests enjoyed a cocktail hour with friends and family. Hillsboro officials Jerry Willey, mayor; Lila Ashenbrenner, chief of police, and other local celebrities also mingled with the crowd. Guests enjoyed the Venetian’s delicious dinner menu including a starter Caesar salad followed by the main courses—savory salmon over risotto or a tenderloin steak with red potatoes. A premier cheesecake with raspberry topping topped off the meal in decadent style. After dinner, guests were ushered into the Venetian’s main auditorium, where the dramatic curtains opened to reveal magician David Charvet, who entertained the crowd with masterful illusions perfected during his 30-year career. Next, “Cloud Nine” serenaded the crowd with stunning a cappella arrangements of classic tunes. The local all-men’s group of six high school students brought the house down with their rendition of “My Girl.” Michael Egans, M.D., chair, Tuality Healthcare Foundation board of directors, kept things lively as the evening’s emcee. Guest speakers included Dick Stenson, president & CEO, Tuality Healthcare, and Cece Clitheroe, director, Tuality Healthcare Foundation & External Affairs. As they say in Italy, “Bella Notte!” A Special Thank You The Tuality Healthcare Foundation sends its warmest appreciation to all of our sponsors who made this magical evening possible.
