¡Salud! Endowment Campaign

For the past 19 years, Oregon wineries have united to raise funds for Tuality Healthcare's ¡Salud! program by donating exclusive Pinot noir bottlings available only through ¡Salud! The Oregon Pinot Noir Auction. Winery staff members also assist medical professionals in accessing and educating workers at the work site.

¡Salud!'s outreach programs are currently funded entirely from the proceeds of ¡Salud! The Oregon Pinot Noir Auction. The past 16 auctions have raised over $6 million. As generous as ¡Salud! supporters have been, however, recent economic conditions indicate that funding for the core operations of the outreach program must be stabilized and cannot rely solely on the success of the annual auction.

Salud Mobile ClinicBecause ¡Salud!'s most important assets are the bicultural medical professionals who work to provide healthcare and outreach services, we are initiating a $1.7 million endowment to help fund the position of the ¡Salud! Services Clinical Nurse Manager. This will allow us to provide a consistent level of service from the endowment interest income, and offer some insulation from the economic cycles that can impact charity auctions.

Ronni Lacroute, owner of Willakenzie Estate winery, has made a $500,000 lead gift to ensure the success of this endowment. This gift was made in honor of ¡Salud!'s current nurse manager, Leda Garside, R.N., BSN (pictured far right in photo). Leda is credited with the success of the outreach program since 1997. She has been instrumental in creating relationships and developing programs that have improved the health and wellness of seasonal vineyard workers and their families.
