Scholarships
Employee Scholarships
The Tuality Healthcare Foundation Scholarship Committee distributes funds of various amounts to selected applicants pursuing health-related careers. Scholarship applications are accepted three times per year, and are available to any current Tuality employee who:
- has worked within the Tuality Healthcare system for at least one year, and
- is enrolled in an accredited educational program (including certification, re-certification, seminars and continuing education programs), and
- has an objective to advance within the Tuality Healthcare organization.
Employee Scholarships are funded by the following sources:
- The Helen Schoen Scholarship Fund, for employees involved in direct patient care who seek to enhance their education in health-related careers.
- The “Well Into the Future Endowment,” for employees pursuing studies that will enhance their knowledge and skills, and contribute to the high quality of healthcare in our community.
- The R.E. Hutchinson, M.D. Health Scholarship Fund, for employees pursuing further education and training in a medical position.
- The Jane Kay Pitts Nursing Scholarship Fund, for employees pursing educational opportunities in the field of nursing.
- The Judy Browning Memorial Scholarship, for non-managerial, hands-on, patient-care clinic staff pursuing continuing education seminars and classes.
Student Scholarships
Each year, the Tuality Healthcare Foundation's Flo Rhea Health Careers Scholarship is awarded to one outstanding high school senior who attends one of the following high schools (Aloha, Banks, Banks Christian Academy, Century, Faith Bible Christian, Forest Grove, Gaston, Glencoe, Hillsboro, Liberty, Life Christian, Miller Education, Westview) who has a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better and plans to pursue a health-related career. Application forms will be available at the end of February in the career counseling centers of the aforementioned high schools.
